Doreen and Sisters
Doreen (right) and two of her 4 sisters. Doreen has had a very difficult few years. Ten years ago, her father died leaving the family without income. Unfortunately her mother decided to sell the family land and abandon the daughters, going to live in Kampala. It has been a real struggle for Doreen to complete school, but has now managed to finish A levels with the help of extended family. She achieved excellent results, but her studies were due to finish there due to lack of fees and having to pay for her sisters to complete school (they are also doing very well academically). Doreen's uncle has provided land for us to plant and in August 2009 she starts a degree course in Business Administration at Bishop Barham University in Kabale. We met Doreen through church we attend.
