Bakiga Community Project : He who is generous to the poor lends to the LORD
Proverbs 19:17
The project involves us paying for seeds, fertilizer and sparying for fields that families own that would otherwise go unplanted due to not having capital. When the harvest comes, the capital is repaid and the profit is used to support the family, usually with school fees. Enough seeds and capital are kept to ensure the family can plant again the next season. In this way it should be sustainable.
We also provide mosquitoe nets, bibles and children's clothes. We have built storehouses and water tanks for the community. We mainly work with orphaned families that have lost one or more parents.
Thanks to everyone who currently supports the project - please contact us if you wish to donate!
